Terms of service

Last updated:

These terms apply to demo websites we prepare, to websites we build and host under a paid agreement, and to the use of this website.

Demo websites

A demo website is prepared at our own cost and is offered with no obligation. It is not published to search engines, it carries a visible notice saying it is a demonstration, and it can be removed at any time on request.

A demo is an illustration of what we would build. It is not a finished product, and the placeholder sections in it are replaced with your own material before any site goes live.

What a paid engagement includes

A paid engagement has a one off setup fee and a monthly fee. The setup fee covers design, build, content preparation and launch. The monthly fee covers the domain, hosting, the security certificate, backups, software updates and the content changes described in your plan.

Work that falls outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and started only after you approve it in writing.

Payment and term

The setup fee is invoiced when the build is approved. The monthly fee is invoiced monthly in advance. There is no minimum term. If a monthly invoice is unpaid for 30 days we may take the site offline, and we will say so by email before doing it. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where applicable.

Ownership

The domain is registered in your name. The content you supply stays yours. On launch and on request at any point afterwards, you receive a copy of every file that makes up the website, at no cost.

Where we license a photograph or a font for your site, that licence is transferred or re licensed to you, and we tell you which items those are.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that any text, photographs, logos and trademarks you send us are yours to use, and that the information you ask us to publish about your business is accurate. We do not publish claims about qualifications, licences or results that you cannot evidence.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee any position in search results, any level of traffic, any number of enquiries or any outcome in an AI assistant answer. Nobody can guarantee those things, and any supplier who does is guessing.

What we do commit to is the scope in your plan, the technical standard described on this website, and a working site.

Availability and interruptions

We aim to keep hosted sites available at all times and we monitor them. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for interruptions caused by your domain registrar, your own hosting choices, a network provider or events outside our control.

Ending the agreement

Either side can end the agreement with one month notice, by email. There is no exit fee. On the last day we hand over the files, help point the domain wherever you want it, and keep a copy for 30 days in case you change your mind. After that the copy is deleted.

Liability

Our total liability in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Portuguese law, including liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The courts of Porto have jurisdiction, and this does not remove any right a consumer has to bring proceedings in their own country.
